The theme of this year's conference, Design for a Better World, supports the WDC mission directly and gives our community an opportunity to ignite the conversation on how we, as architects, are fulfilling our role in designing our region's future.
The conference is open to the community and, while the conversation will be focused primarily towards built environment professionals, we hope this year’s programming will inspire a broader audience.

The conference gives attendees the opportunity to earn up to 5 HSW CEUs, including new Zero Net Carbon Design (ZNCD) mandatory education requirements.

Have a big idea? Submit your proposal for a talk, tour, panel, or big idea for our fall conference.
We seek to provide valuable educational content to our attendees, mainly practitioners but we also encourage you to think BIG picture about your focus areas and how your committee can contribute this year. Beyond filling a CEU requirement, what are the urgent topics you are discussing and how are we/can we apply our expertise as architects to move our city forward as a leader in inclusive design, adaptive reuse, technology, sustainability and policy, to name a few?
This year's presentations should be about inspiring ourselves and our community to appreciate the potential that architecture can unleash to build a better future for our region. Consider renowned guest speakers – perhaps non-local leaders – who will attract a wider audience. Consider panel discussions, films, workshops, tutorials, interactive activities, exhibits, models, debates, and other formats that create the best environment for an inspired conversation and engaging experience.

FOCUS AREAS | The following are suggested focus areas, modeled after the official AIA National Conference tracks: i. Sustainable Design & Climate Action; ii. Winning Work Strategies; iii. Practice of Architecture; iv. Career Success; v. Advocacy in Architecture. Those submitting proposals are not limited to these subject areas.
