INTERN ARCHITECT (TECHNICAL SUPPORT & REVIT DRAFTING) | Island ArchitectS

Job Description & Requirements

• Proficient in computer drafting with Revit 3D modeling software as 95% of our projects  use this program. 

• Experience: recent graduate to 4 years 

• AutoCAD, Photoshop, and Sketch-up software used to a lesser degree. • Hand drafting and rendering capability a plus. 

• Attendance to an AXP rated University with a bachelor’s degree in Architecture is  preferred but not a necessity. 

• Enrolled in the AXP program and be actively fulfilling requirements to pass the Architect  Registration Examination to qualify for an Architectural license is also a plus. • Strong communication skills both written and oral. 

• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. 

Job Description: 

Assist and participate in any and all of the following: 

• Prepare construction, entitlement, and permit documents including plans, elevations,  sections, lighting plans, and detailing. 

• Knowledge of State and Local Codes 

• Prepare design presentations and renderings for Clients, Permitting Department, and  Coastal Development Board 

• Research and prepare necessary documentation, plans, applications, and responses for the  permitting process. 

• Collect and organize information from any or all of the following members of project  team: contractor, subcontractors, consultants, civil engineer, soils engineer, structural  engineer, mechanical T-24, archeological, landscape architect, lighting designer, and  interior designer 

• Assemble and prepare budget and project schedule information 

• Organize and assist with facilitation of project management during construction phase  (construction administration)
