Leigh A. Eisen (Née Harvey)

Ms. Eisen joined the AIA San Diego team in 2019 as Managing Director and assumed the role of Executive Vice President & CEO on January 1, 2020. An alumna of Columbia University’s Graduate School of Architecture, Preservation and Planning (Msc Urban Planning), Leigh brings nearly two decades of non-profit management experience, as well as public sector/government experience to the table. Leigh has devoted the bulk of her career to organizations whose missions are to improve quality of life and economic vitality in the built environment.

MJ Carrion
MJ joined the Chapter in May 2019. Initially hired to handle membership, MJ has proven herself to be a "Jill of all Trades," and oversees everything from marketing & communications, to event management, social media and the Chapter’s corporate partners program, which greatly expands the capacity of the Chapter. MJ holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration.

Sofia Gaba joined AIA San Diego as the Marketing and Communications Coordinator in November 2023. A 2023 graduate of NewSchool of Architecture & Design, Sofia holds a Bachelor of Architecture degree with a minor in Construction Management. During her academic career, she served as Vice President of AIAS and Student Council President for two consecutive years. Passionate about exploring different architectural styles through travel, Sofia is eager to transition into a full-time role within the architecture industry.
