Amanda Behnke AIA, elevated to Principal
Having first joined ARCHITECTS hanna gabriel wells in 2006, Amanda is always striving to find a high level of craft in each project’s details and is inspired by the opportunity to tell stories through the built environment. Amanda celebrates a collaborative approach to the design process, where she brings discipline and organization to each project along with 15 years of experience. Amanda’s passion for sustainable living extends beyond her projects to her love of cycling and urban agriculture. She resides in Ocean Beach with her husband and daughter, Paul and Claire, and their lovable pooch, Cooper.
Eric Wendlandt, elevated to Principal
Eric has been with ARCHITECTS hanna gabriel wells for 15 years. He loves to dig deep into the details of each project, and has a wealth of technical skills from his 20 years of experience. He has been a catalyst in coaching junior staff and a leader in establishing design standards. In his free time, Eric loves to taste through San Diego’s craft beer scene, head for a quick trip to Mexico with his wife, Molly, or cheer on his Super Bowl victorious, hometown team; the Kansas City Chiefs. Eric has played an instrumental role in HGW’s history and will serve as a wonderful leader in its future.
Magdalena Kubik NCIDQ, elevated to Associate
Born and raised in Prague, Czech Republic Magdalena is a keystone member of HGW’s interior design team. Passionate about design and its ability to meaningfully connect people, she draws most inspiration from travelling and exploring different cultures. With over 20 years’ experience, Magda brings refined knowledge and fresh ideas to HGW’s interior design department. She is adaptable to whatever problem is thrown her way and always seeks creative design opportunities. She takes a client-centered approach to her work and aims to achieve a seamless integration of architecture and interiors in all her projects. When not busy creating interior environments she can be found hiking and camping with her son and husband.
Rachel Nucci AIA, LEED, AP BD+C, elevated to Associate
Rachel is HGW’s very own Georgia peach who started with the firm in 2015. Finding creative design solutions that respond to the place, environment and people inspire her work. She brings exceptional design, communication, and organizational skills to each of her projects sprinkled with her positive, helpful attitude. When Rachel isn’t at the office, you may find her tending to her community garden plot, playing fetch with her rambunctious chocolate lab Millie, scheming her next globe-trotting adventure with her husband Mike (they recently traveled the world for 6 months), or brushing up on her wine tasting skills as a certified WSET Level I.
