FLINT is seeking a driven and experienced Architectural Project Manager who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative design-build environment. We are looking for a leader who brings a strong architectural background, communicates effectively across disciplines, and takes initiative to guide projects from schematic design through construction.
The major responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to the following:
Lead the architectural design coordination process from concept through construction, ensuring alignment with Flint’s constructability standards, client goals, and project budget and schedule.
Prepare, manage, and monitor project schedules, deliverables, and budgets; ensure timely delivery of all design milestones and required approvals.
Organize and facilitate design coordination meetings, owner presentations, and technical work sessions; distribute agendas, capture meeting minutes, and track action items through resolution.
Work closely with jurisdictions, city planning departments, and permitting authorities to manage plan submittals, revisions, and approvals.
Manage and maintain documentation throughout the design process, including proposals, contracts, design narratives, and change documentation.
Support proposal development and fee estimates; contribute to scope definition, RFIs, and change management in coordination with operations and estimating.Manage the BIM through all architectural project phases and assist in the BIM handoff to FLINT’s VDC and in-house trades modeling team. The FLINT VDC Manager will assist in this coordination.
Provide overflow drafting support to assist Designers and Job captains with production if needed.
Ability to provide documentation and constructability feedback to other architectural staff.
Serve as the main point of contact for design-related issues across assigned projects, proactively resolving design challenges to keep the project progressing smoothly.
Provide mentorship and oversight to junior staff and design team contributors to foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and design excellence.
Qualification/Candidate Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Architecture.
5–10 years of architectural project management experience with a strong understanding of design development, construction documentation, drawings and specifications, and coordination in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
High proficiency in Revit is required; experience with Bluebeam, Microsoft Excel, and other design and construction-related platforms is strongly preferred.
Familiar with Adobe Creative suite, Lumion, Enscape, Autodesk construction cloud. Modeling/drafting software such as Sketchup and AutoCAD.
Proficient is 3D modeling & coordination tools such as ACC and Revizto.
Familiarity with DSA and public project coordination is a plus.
Strong project coordination and communication skills, with proven success managing interdisciplinary teams and fostering collaboration between design, preconstruction, and field teams.
Commitment to high standards of professionalism, equity, and teamwork; experience engaging with diverse communities is valued. Demonstrated ability to produce accurate and detailed technical drawings and construction documents.
Must be proactive, self-motivated, and comfortable stepping into hands-on design tasks when needed to support team success.
Licensure is not required but those seeking licensure are supported.
Willingness to travel to project sites and interface with clients, consultants, and internal teams across Northern & Southern California.

Salary Range: $100,000-$130,000 depending on experience
