Monday, 3/7 Noon | CELEBRATE: Kick-Off & Keynote: A special presentation featuring keynote guest speaker Jorge Gracia of Gracia Design Studio. Later, we will announce the Laura Shinn Diversity In Architecture scholarship recipient.
Tuesday, 3/8 Noon | LEARN: Meet & Greet with Local Schools of Architecture
Aimed at pre-collegiate students interested in pursuing degree programs in architecture and design, this session will feature representatives from leading So.-Cal universities and colleges who will outline the application process, academic programs, campus life, tuition and housing costs, and any other questions you may have.
Wednesday, 3/9 Noon | UPLIFT: Interview Workshop
Hiring managers and HR representatives from architectural firms of varying sizes will offer up insights, tools and tricks for nailing your interview. Let these recruitment gatekeepers walk you through what it takes to make an impression, show off your skills and sell yourself.
Thursday, 3/10 Noon | EXPLORE: Multiple Avenues of Architecture
Many pathways lead to a career in architecture; many avenues await you along your journey. Join a diverse group of experienced architects for a panel discussion of designers representing varying areas of focus. Explore sample projects and a “day in the life” of each panelist; ask them which path they took to get there and why.
Friday, 3/11 11am – 3pm | CONNECT: Virtual Networking with Regional AEC Employers
The Career Connect virtual networking session gives you the opportunity to have a one-on-one conversation with local architecture, design and construction employers. Each firm will have their own breakout room, plus private appointments so that you can make connections briskly and practice your elevator pitch.
