What are the spaces that make a city?
The Center for Collaborative Design, a new architecture education nonprofit coming soon to Barrio Logan, is working with Raygun on a book of 'places locals love' for the 2024 San Diego-Tijuana World Design Capital. We are currently crowdsourcing ideas for places in the San Diego/Tijuana region that are free and publicly accessible, where people like to gather and spend time with friends and family (or by ourselves) at various times of the day and year. By visualizing these unique places, we aim to encourage decision makers to design, plan, support and prioritize more of these spaces and places in every community and for every person in our region. The book will be a photo-heavy, bilingual, paperback guidebook that will be available at gift shops, online and at World Design Capital events in 2024. All net proceeds will go to educational programming at the Center for Collaborative Design.
