Principal, Design Director

LPA Design Studios

Meet Rocio Gertler!  Principal and Design Director of Landscape Architecture at LPA design Studios, she is a leading advocate for a collaborative, research-based approach to landscape architecture in our region. Rocio also has a background in architecture, giving her the rare ability to connect outdoor environments to the built environment.

“To do our best work, we need to understand the user, the site, the surroundings and the client, and that requires research and collaboration.” - Rocio Gertler on design

In this panel she will discuss how the confluence of art, architecture and landscape architecture can work together for true place making.

This event was made possible by LPA Design Studios and Daltile.

Celebrating the passion of architecture across our border

As part of the month celebration, our chapter also reached out to architecture students from both sides of the border. Newschool of Architecture, Woodbury University School of Architecture, Escuela Libre de Arquitectura and Tecnologico de Monterrey. We asked students to share a video response to one question “Why are you passionate about pursuing architecture?”

Tune in here as we release their responses daily through October 15th
