Join AIA OC for a virtual showing of film, Alice Street.
About the Film
Alice Street illustrates how a culturally diverse community united against city planners to save a beloved mural destined from demolition for a new high rise. The community’s positive approach to educating city government has made the Alice Street mural a symbol of cultural resistance.
Attendees will learn:
- How public art strengthens communities;
- How creative tactics can affect governmental change;
- How design needs to be a community effort at the beginning of a project
When: July 15 @7pm
A link will be provided to those who register by 7/14 and the film will be available for viewing July 15-16.
Cost: Free!
