Q&A with Professor Matthew Carmona | RDAC Monthly Meeting

Join us at the March 9th RDAC meeting for a presentation and Q&A with Professor Matthew Carmona to discuss the value of developing high quality public spaces and issues of design governance as they apply to San Diego and cities around the world. Matthew Carmona is an architect, planner, researcher and Professor of Planning and Urban Design at UCL's Bartlett School of Planning in London. He chairs the Place Alliance, an organization that campaigns for place quality in England, and in 2016 was Specialist Advisor to the House of Lords Select Committee on National Policy for the Built Environment. Most recently he was a part of the 'Urban Maestro' project with UN-Habitat and the European Union, looking at new governance strategies for urban design throughout Europe.

The Regional Design Advisory Council (RDAC)  includes design professionals interested in helping to shape San Diego’s future and address the “big picture” issues in the region; it encompasses AIA San Diego, as well as ASLA, the APA, ULI, C3, and others.

RDAC meets on the 2nd Wednesday of each month at Noon
