The exterior concrete and teak elements suffered degradation after 55 years of exposure to the elements.
This presentation, led by Ann Harrer, P.E. – Associate Principal & Michelle Sandoval, LEED AP – Senior Associate & Architect with Wiss, Janney, Elstner Associates (WJE) of Chicago ,will describe the Salk Institute’s conservation-based approach to the recently completed teak window restoration and the ongoing concrete restoration project.
