Join the AIA San Diego Preservation Committee for an architectural tour of the TRU Bankers Hill building
This project is the result of the redevelopment of three existing medical office buildings into an exciting mixed-use residential-commercial space, providing unique urban lifestyle opportunities where residents can live well. The structure is a collection of three buildings built for the Rees-Stealy Medical Clinic. The southernmost building was designed by Louis J. Gill in 1926 in the Spanish Eclectic style. The middle section, also by Gill, is in the Art Deco style from 1938. Finally, the northernmost building was designed in the Brutalist style by Homer Delawie in 1965.
Join the builder, H.G. Fenton Company, and the architect/designer, Community. A Design Collective, for an architectural tour where they’ll share stories of this truly special transformation and restoration.
