Get ready to roll!
The San Diego chapter of the National Organization of Minority Architects (SDNOMA) is putting on a Summer Architecture camp July 21, 22 and 23rd, 2022.
Participants will be skating and sketching their way through 2.5 days of creativity and design. Campers will spend a full day at local roller-rinks, studying the skating environment and interacting with local architects. The second day, participants will synthesize their observations, inspiration and sketches into their own conceptual design for a roller rink. We will be using traditional and digital design techniques to create models and drawings. On the third day, campers will present their work to family and friends.
The camp fee is $100 – and includes a design toolkit, roller skating admission, lunches and snacks. Scholarships available for low-income families.

Project Pipeline is a national initiative of the National Organization of Minority Architects. The Pipeline was created to serve as a solution to increasing the number of underrepresented minorities, pursuing careers in architecture. With a focus on youth, it was created to equip, empower and educate through architectural design and engineering techniques. The pipeline allows us the ability to establish and cultivate youth on a unique platform that fosters community awareness, creates mentorship and exposes youth to the built environment. The Pipeline started in 2005 with one camp in Cincinnati, Ohio and has grown to over twenty camps across the nation. It is made up of architectural middle school camps, high school boot camps, college campus chapters, and professional licensing workshops.
