At this month’s RDAC, Planning Director Heidi Vonblum will present an overview of the Planning Department’s work program. Join us as we examine how the City and the AIA can engage with the with the broader AEC + Design community to further the Department’s housing, climate, equity, conservation and infrastructure goals.
Heidi Vonblum is currently the Planning Director for the City of San Diego; she brings 20 years of experience in both public and private land use and environmental planning and law. Prior to joining the Planning Department in 2018, she served as Deputy City Attorney in the Land Use Advisory and Litigation Units in the San Diego City Attorney’s Office. Ms. Vonblum obtained a Bachelor of Science in City and Regional Planning from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, and a Juris Doctorate from the University of San Diego School of Law.

The Regional Design Advisory Council (RDAC) serves as a core advocacy group for design, planning, and policy. The Council meets monthly. Members include design professionals interested in helping to shape San Diego’s future and address the “big picture” issues in the region.
