Mission Valley: An Open Space Renaissance

Friends of San Diego Architecture has Glen Schmidt FASLA making a return visit on Saturday, February 15th to talk about Mission Valley: An Open Space Renaissance. It will be at NewSchool of Architecture & Design, 1249 F Street, Downtown San Diego at 9:30 am. Along with the new updated plan for residential and commercial development, there are plans for significant parks and open spaces. Schmidt will share details about these and other transformational projects that are part of an open space renaissance in Mission Valley.

Some of Schmidt Design Group’s local work include: the San Diego County Waterfront Park, Pacific Highlands Ranch Park, “ Nature’s Bridge to Discovery” trail along the Silver Strand and Stone Brewing World Bistro beer gardens in Escondido and Liberty Station.

Come early for coffee. Lecture is $5. Students are free. No reservations are necessary. Please use the Park Avenue entrance. It will be a “picturesque” morning with the latest designs.
