Job Description: Job Position: Our firm is seeking a Project Manager with 5-10+ years of experience, licensed architect preferred but not required. We offer an urban, open, and lively working environment in Downtown San Diego’s Marina District. Job Expectations (Candidates must have qualified and proven experience within each of the following):

  • GENERAL ROLE EXPECTATIONS: Leads comprehensive schematic design, design development, construction documents, construction administration with experience providing responses to RFIs and submittals, creation of ASIs and other related tasks. Comprehensive ability to design in Revit, SketchUp, and AutoCAD for all projects types.

  • LEVEL OF CLIENT INTERFACING: Serve as primary client liaison; meet with clients, consultants, and contractors to discuss projects during all phases of work.

  • BUDGETS AND PROPOSAL DEVELOPMENT: Actively manage project budgets, schedules and programs; project communications/documentation; office admin tasks; and project team assignments. Estimate fees, determine scope of work, and prepare proposals under the direction of a principal.

  • SUPERVISION EXPECTATION: Responsible for coordination of all project efforts, administrative and technical. Lead project staff of 2-3 people. Organize structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, acoustic, and fire consultant work as well as coordinate external consultants. Coordinate agency approval of projects (Building Department, Planning Department, and Design Review Board).

Qualifications/Candidate Requirements:

  • Experience with high density residential and small to medium scale commercial projects is required.

  • A minimum Bachelor of Architecture degree required; graduate degree preferred; minimum 5 years of experience with at least 1 year in a project management role specializing in small to medium scale multi-family residential and/or commercial projects.

  • Licensed Architect preferred but not required.

  • Strong client service skills

  • Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite products (i.e. Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).

  • Leadership skills as well as the ability to work well within a team environment.
